Shemp deserves more credit than he gets- I have been a stooge fan since the early 70's and still laugh at their shows. They are amongst the greatest comedians of all time and Shemp was a key part of that.

Thanks Jill and Sandie for making this website and for the pride you have in your most talented grandfather
By Naperstooge at Friday 01 January 2010
Love to see more Shemp videos, especially with his best 'leading lady' Christine Mac Intire.
The Hot Scots was his best of all time!

Sorry I lost touch. It appears NHH is having a 405h reunion and you have shown up on the missing list. I gave them this website as a way to reach you, but you may want to call or write as well...
www.reunioncommittee.com or 661.259.5999 Carol Tipton. I don't remember her, but she is heading up the shindig. Bless her. No was has ever wanted to take that daunting task on before this. I won't be able to attend though. Allen surprised me with a Mediterranean Cruise the week of May 15th 2010. That's the date by the way. I think it's at the Universal Studios.
We need to hook up sooner than later. I did find Maryjane Faye. She lives up in Redding. We met for coffee. It was nice getting together. I think I've got a picture somewhere. Now you've Take good care....it's been a lot of years since girl scouts! Yikes!

Shemp is the best medicine for whatever ails you. What is the correct date of birth for Shemp? Several sites list both March 4 and March 17. Even this site lists both, one under the bio, the other on the astrology chart. To celebrate true March Madness, I need to know. Can anyone provide info on his correct date of birth, and why he has two dates of birth listed?

Hello Shemp Howard Fans!
its been a while since I've been here. I was not aware of all the current spam. Will get Clif to try to remove it so we can get back to our guestbook without that stuff.
Back in June of this year a fan writes: Was Shemp poisoned? No way! nada.
An F.Y.I. The weekend of Thanksgiving 09' on Saturday evening is Stoogefest at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA. it has become an anual event for us to attend.
Its a grand show of aprox. 4 'RARE' Stooge Shorts, guest speakers and you will laugh your heads off. Get tickets a bit in advance. You won't be disapointed. Jill, Geri and myself will be there so please come up and say hello. Don't be shy ok.
See you there and thank you all for visiting this sight and sighing our tribute guestbook.
If you have any questions, by all means ask. If we don't know the answer we will do our best to find out from other family members.
Rock On Shempcompany in its 9th year!!!
Sincerely,
Sandie

Just happened to be reading on my favorite comedy act of all time and stumbled across the bio pages on them. The Stooges were are and always will be the greatest comedy act. Wether it was Curly or Shemp it didnt matter their art was priceless. While growing up I had to be home in time to see them on T.V. and have the homework done. Since then with my daughters growing up with them as well I am sure it will get passed down again. Yes, both daughters love the Stooges as much as I do. Their children will have no chanced but to love the Stooges as well....hahaha or woooo woooo woooo. Thank you for this site and from me a million thanks for your Grandfather's priceless entertaining.

By Brent Seguine at Friday 10 July 2009
Johnny -
The A&C;film you refer to is IN THE NAVY (1941). Shemp was in 6 films with Abbott & Costello... 5 features and 1 newsreel PSA.

In his career, inclusive of features and shorts & starring roles to cameos 1933 - 1949, Shemp worked in 103 [known-to-date] films on his own. See http://threestooges.net/journal.php?action=view&id;=98 for his complete solo filmography.

hi jill and sandie, its me again. i was born in 1957 and watched the stooges as soon as i could sit in front of a tv........my dad turned me on to them. we lived in broadview illinois and the stooges (moe, larry and curly joe) stayed in a motel there because they were appearing at the big top in hillside illinois. we were driving past the motel and i saw moe standing on the corner having a smoke.........i screemed to my dad to stop theres moe!! he hung a turn and parked the car and we went over to talk to moe....i was about 7 years old at the time so my dad did all the talking but it was cool! i still have the card he gave me of the stooges.
By chuck leone at Wednesday 17 June 2009
great site!! shemp is my favorite stooge. its sad he didnt live longer, i would have liked to see him in more films. he was the funniest stooge... he could steal the scene and the camera could roll on! it was also cool that he would stand up to moe, unlike curly who was affraid of moe. i would like to talk to his grand daughter and learn more about the man behind the stooge.
By scott nelson at Tuesday 16 June 2009
Hi,

Did Babe Howard request exumation of Shemp's body to see if he had been poisoned? According to some website info, she did so, but died before his body could be exhumed (results -- heart attack brought on by hardening of the arteries).
By Eddie O'Rourke at Tuesday 09 June 2009

Hey Girls,

WHY SQUIRTINLY I'M A HUGE STOOGES FAN!!! What an absolutely wonderful legacy and a great website too!

Hi Sandie and Jill, love the website! I have been a Shemp and Stooges fan since I was a little girl. My 14 year old daughter absolutely ADORES Shemp!!! She lets me know all the time she was born '100 years and 12 days' after him!! Christine has a mild form of autism, and I find that I am able to reach her when we talk about his movies, both with and without the Stooges. She lights up like I've never seen otherwise! Thank you so much for reaching her!! God Bless you! Elizabeth

New site looks great!

I guess everyone knows that on Shemp's 114th birthday, March 17, The Three Stooges Collection Volume 5 is being released. It has Curly's last 10 shorts, and more importantly, Shemp's first 15.
